Astro Panel 2027 is a complete Photoshop ecosystem for landscape photography, night photography, Milky Way, star trails and deep-sky image processing. Version 11.2.0 introduces production technology derived from Fusion Lab 2026 RC4 directly inside Photoshop. The new native Fusion Core processes demanding astronomical workflows while Astro Panel keeps every result visible, editable and under your control.

Fusion Sky Stack – new native RC4-derived engine

Calibrate, register and integrate RAW, FITS, TIFF and XISF images with the native FusionStackCore engine. Lights, Darks, Bias and Flats have dedicated loading areas, counters and metadata summaries. Camera Raw can develop RAW Lights and Flats with their real XMP sidecars before calibration and stacking.

• Adaptive asinh auto-stretch with controlled sky background and highlight headroom

Open astronomical FITS files in Photoshop

The new Fusion > Extra workspace opens .fit, .fits and .fts files—including multiple files—directly as Photoshop documents.

Astro Background Extractor AI

Fusion Lab’s native background-extraction pipeline replaces the legacy Photoshop-only automatic DBE action. ONNX V12 global correction and V13 guarded tiled refinement remove uneven illumination and broad color gradients while preserving the original document. The result returns as a visible Astro Background Extractor AI layer with an optional hidden background-model layer.

Starless / Stars Only

The production Dark Star v2.1c C/ONNX engine creates two non-destructive layers: a visible Starless result and a Stars Only layer for Screen recomposition. A dedicated control modal adds live contrast, luminosity, Boost and Astro Dynamic Stretch adjustments before collecting the complete result into one editable Photoshop group.

Fusion AI Denoise

The optimized Fusion Lab 2026 RC4 denoise model is now available in Fusion > Extra. Dynamic 256 × 256 tiles are processed in batches for substantially faster full-resolution inference while preserving the RC4 result. DirectML acceleration is used on supported Windows GPUs and Core ML acceleration on supported Apple systems. Strength, detail recovery, star, structure and color protection remain fully adjustable, with the result returned as a dedicated non-destructive Photoshop layer.

Astro Selective Color and Green Cast

The Color & Gradients section now includes two new focused tools:

• Astro Selective Color – control Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black across Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues, Magentas, Whites, Neutrals and Blacks. Includes Milky Way and Deep Sky profiles plus two persistent custom slots.
• Green Cast – remove unwanted green contamination with Fusion Lab’s HLVG-style SCNR Average Neutral method, adjustable Amount and live Photoshop preview.

Native reliability and a cleaner Extra workflow

FITS opening, Astro Background Extractor AI, Starless / Stars Only and Fusion AI Denoise are consolidated inside Fusion > Extra. Native progress reporting, shared duplicate-run protection, automatic temporary-file cleanup and recovery of stale workspaces keep long processing jobs safer. The new tools and interface labels are localized in English, Italian, French, Spanish and German.
